Objectives
T-Mobile CZ needed secure, scalable and reliable infrastructure for its payment system. The company also needed a highly available message queuing mechanism and scalable data storage for its distributed system.
Solution
The payment platform runs on EKS behind an NLB, with RabbitMQ for messaging and MongoDB for storage. EKS and the NLB provide the scalable, highly available base, RabbitMQ carries the messages between services and MongoDB holds the data. Istio adds traffic management, service discovery and observability across the service mesh, so the payment flow stays secure and scalable inside Kubernetes.
